Emergent is a world leader in spacecraft navigation using GPS. We
are leading research into the use of GPS in high Earth orbit
above the GPS constellation. Emergent offers expert consulting and
engineering services in design, development, testing and integration of
GPS receivers for both space and terrestrial applications.
Low Power Transceiver Testing
Emergent engineers are working with NASA and ITT to incorporate the Low
Power Transceiver GPS receiver into spacecraft simulations conducted in
the GSFC Formation Flying Test Bed.
Emergent is
currently developing the navigation and timing algorithms for the NASA
Goddard Space Flight Center Navigator GPS receiver. Navigator is
designed to operate in high Earth orbits above the GPS constellation
using low signal tracking capabilities. It is expected to fly on future
mission including GOES-R and MMS.
GPS Receiver Testing
Emergent employees
have extensive experience testing spaceborne GPS receivers including
NASA GSFC’s PiVoT, German Space Operations Center’s Orion, Ashtech’s
G-12, Trimble’s Force 19, JPL’s BlackJack and Loral’s Tensor.
